2021 Course Information

The focus for the 2021 Course is Molecular and Lymph Node Pathology. The course will provide a forum for sharing information on current standards, emerging technologies and applications of molecular diagnostics in the daily practice of the surgical pathologist. In addition the 2021 course will also focus on recent developments in Lymph Node Pathology. During the course, the participants will discuss molecular techniques, their applications, interpretation, limitations, and related quality assurance challenges across the diagnostic and methodological spectrum. In addition, an in depth review of the diagnosis and classification of benign lymph node pathology and lymphoproliferative disorders will be offered to the participants.

OBJECTIVES
After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  • Deliver basic diagnostic approaches in lymph node pathology as a non-subspecialized pathologist
  • Review recent up-dates in neoplastic and non-neoplastic lymph node pathology
  • Describe novel insights from molecular diagnostic methods, their applications and limitations across the anatomical pathology spectrum
  • Discuss diagnostic pitfalls and Quality Assurance principles in molecular and lymph node pathology
